Course 1 - 2.5 - What Generative AI Can and Cannot Do

This lecture is from the course Generative AI For All in Plain English - Essentials.

In this lecture, we discuss the current capabilities and limitations of generative AI (Gen-AI). I emphasise that Gen-AI is not unbiased and that the topic of AI and bias will be covered in its own lecture. We also note that Gen-AI does not have subjectivity, feelings, or a subjective sense of self, and therefore cannot show true empathy, even if it may sometimes appear to do so.

However, I stress that this is just a snapshot in time and that the capabilities and limitations of Gen-AI are subject to change rapidly.
