This lecture is from the course Generative AI For All in Plain English - Advanced Prompting.
In this lecture, I outline the key topics they will cover in the course, which aims to teach advanced techniques for effectively using generative AI.
I assume that the audience has a basic understanding of generative AI, and also may have experienced inconsistent results. The course will cover methods such as breaking down complex tasks into smaller ones, using constraints and boundaries, iterative refinement, and ethical considerations when using generative AI.
I emphasise that becoming a skilful user of Gen AI involves not only knowing what to ask but also how to ask it in the right way to obtain the best results, which is the essence of prompt engineering.
