If you want safer roads we may need to face some uncomfortable facts
If you want safer roads we may need to face some uncomfortable facts
Sometimes what’s true, is different from what people want to believe.
You know what I mean?
You know for example, people believe peeing on a jellyfish sting helps stop the pain, but there is no scientific evidence to support this.
If you do this, it will more likely make the pain worse, as well as not smelling great.
And sometimes someone will go to the doctor, and they might say they have a severe disease like diabetes or cancer.
Even though the doctor will have done tests to know if this is true, sometimes people don’t want to hear it or believe it — even if it’s true.
Sometimes it’s hard for you to face the truth especially if that truth makes you feel uncomfortable or is not what you’d like to believe
That not only makes sense, it’s what makes you a human being.
But sometimes the consequences of ignoring the truth can be more serious than someone peeing on your jellyfish sting…
With AI driving cars, I think the consequences of ignoring the true dangers of them, even if they are counter-intuitive, will not be good for you or any of us…
Who is the safest driver: AI or Humans?
As you know, sometimes the truth is not simple, it’s complex..
